Scope and acceptance
This agreement applies when you list a game on Crate Ship Games as a creator. It works alongside the Terms of Service. Signing up as a creator or uploading a build does not by itself create any right to payment: paid sales and ad revenue sharing apply only to games covered by a versioned agreement you accept in the creator dashboard. Selling and payouts are available to United States adults aged 18 or over who complete the payment provider’s verification. The operator is Jamaine Martin, Washington, United States.
You keep your work
You keep ownership of your game. You grant Crate Ship Games a non-exclusive, worldwide permission to store, reproduce, technically adapt (for example compress or package), host, display and distribute the submitted build and approved artwork, and to use your game’s name, artwork and screenshots to promote the listing, for as long as the game is listed and as needed to honor purchases. We do not sell your source code, claim ownership of your game, or use it to train AI models.
Your responsibilities
You must have the rights to everything in your game, including assets, code libraries, music, likenesses, trademarks and AI-assisted material, and include any required attributions. Provide accurate descriptions, controls, supported devices, content guidance and system requirements, and disclose any data your game collects. Do not include secret keys, malware, hidden cryptocurrency mining, deceptive purchases or advertising code we have not approved.
Upload and review
Browser builds need a root index.html and must meet the published size and packaging limits. Uploads stay private until they pass automated checks and human review. Automated checks look at archive structure, file limits, executable signatures and selected suspicious code patterns; they reduce risk but do not certify a game as harmless, and passing them is not approval. Public creator uploads open in stages as review capacity allows.
Demos and full games
You may list a free, clearly labeled demo that offers a meaningful level or core gameplay loop, and optionally sell the full game separately. Demos must disclose their limitations and must not make misleading promises. Demo and full listings are linked and reviewed together.
Revenue shares
For creator games, the creator receives 70% and Crate Ship Games 30% of finalized, eligible ad revenue attributable to the game, and the creator receives 80% and Crate Ship Games 20% of the game’s pre-tax sale price after refunds. Standard payment processing and payout costs for sales are paid from the platform’s 20% share. Custom terms require a separate written agreement. Games owned by Crate Ship Games carry no third-party creator share. Details are in the Monetization & Payout Policy.
Earnings, removal and termination
Earnings are not guaranteed. You may ask us to remove your game or end this agreement by emailing crateshipstudios@gmail.com; we will remove the listing within a reasonable time, normally within 14 days. We may remove a game sooner for safety, legal or policy reasons. After removal, buyers keep access to licenses they already purchased, and we will pay valid earned amounts under the accepted agreement. You agree to cover losses caused by your breach of this agreement or by claims that your game infringes someone else’s rights.
