Current status
Paid sales, ad revenue sharing and creator payouts are not enabled yet. Until they are, no earnings accrue. Once enabled, only verified provider events for games covered by an accepted creator agreement create a payable balance.
Advertising share
Creators receive 70% to the creator and 30% to Crate Ship Games of ad revenue attributable to their game that the ad provider has finalized, after the provider’s own deductions and invalid-traffic adjustments. Hosting and ordinary running costs are paid from Crate Ship Games’ share and are not deducted from yours. Ad views or clicks reported by the browser are not earnings until the provider’s reports are reconciled.
Game sales share
Sales are split 80% creator / 20% platform of the pre-tax sale price, adjusted for refunds. Taxes collected are not revenue. Standard Stripe processing and Connect payout costs are paid from the platform’s share. Any currency conversion, special payout method or reserve will be shown in your agreement before it applies. Example, before tax and refunds: a $10 sale gives $8 to the creator and $2 to Crate Ship Games, which then pays its processing fees.
Onboarding and payout timing
To be paid you must complete Stripe’s identity, tax, country and bank verification. Funds become payable after the provider finalizes them and any disclosed hold period ends. Your accepted agreement states the minimum payout amount, currency and payout schedule.
Refunds, fraud and statements
Refunds and chargebacks reverse the related earnings. Duplicate provider events never create duplicate balances, and corrections are recorded as adjustments so history is preserved. We may temporarily hold amounts linked to suspected fraud while we review it, and we will tell you why where we can. Your statements show estimated, finalized, held and paid amounts separately. To question a statement, email crateshipstudios@gmail.com.
Tax and changes
You are responsible for your own income taxes. We will request the tax forms required to pay you. New rates apply only to future transactions under a newly accepted agreement version; they never change past transactions.
