Respecting rights
Creators must own or license everything they upload. If you believe material on Crate Ship Games infringes your copyright, send a notice to crateshipstudios@gmail.com with the subject line “Copyright notice”. For partner games distributed by GameMonetize, we can remove the listing from Crate Ship Games; you may also contact GameMonetize, which hosts the game.
What to include in a notice
Identify the copyrighted work and the exact URLs of the material you believe infringes it; give your name, address, telephone number and email; include a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the owner, its agent or the law; include a statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner; and sign it (a typed full name is acceptable). Knowingly misleading notices can carry legal liability.
Removal and counter-notices
We review valid notices, remove or disable the material where appropriate, and notify the uploader. An uploader who believes the removal was a mistake can send a counter-notice identifying the removed material and its former location, with their name, address, telephone number and signature, a statement under penalty of perjury that they have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification, and consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for their address (or, outside the United States, any judicial district where Crate Ship Games may be found) and to accept service from the person who filed the notice. We forward counter-notices to the complainant and may restore the material in 10 to 14 business days unless we are told a court action has been filed.
Repeat infringement
We terminate the accounts of repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances and act on attempts to evade restrictions. Notices and counter-notices may be shared with the other party. Privacy or impersonation concerns that are not about copyright can be reported to the same address.
